When shower glass cracks, chips, or fogs over for good, you usually don't need to gut the shower — just the glass. If your tile, pan and waterproofing are sound, we template your existing opening and fit fresh tempered glass to match.

When we replace shower glass

  • Cracked, chipped or shattered panels — new tempered glass cut to your exact opening (tempered glass can't be re-cut, so it's always custom).
  • Permanently foggy / etched glass — hard-water etching pits the surface and won't clean off; a new panel with an optional easy-clean coating fixes it for good.
  • Dated framed or sliding doors — swap them for a modern frameless panel, usually without touching your tile.
  • Single-panel swaps — replace one broken panel in an enclosure without redoing the whole thing.

Usually it's the glass only — not the whole shower

If your tile, pan and waterproofing are in good shape, it's a glass-only job: we template the finished opening, cut new tempered glass to fit, and reuse or update the hardware. You only need a bigger job if the tile/pan is failing or you're changing the shower's footprint.

What it costs

Price comes down to glass thickness (3/8" vs 1/2"), how out-of-square your walls are, hardware finish, and glass type. We give free, itemized estimates so you see exactly what you're paying for — send a photo and rough measurements for a fast ballpark.

Built for Okanagan hard water

Our water is hard, and untreated glass hazes fast. Ask about an easy-clean coating on your new glass — it seals the surface so water beads off instead of etching it.

Shower Glass Replacement — common questions

How much does it cost to replace shower glass in Kelowna?

It depends on glass thickness (3/8" vs 1/2"), how out-of-square your walls are, hardware finish and glass type — a framed door is the budget end and a full frameless enclosure the top. In most cases it's a glass-only job (your tile stays), which keeps the cost down. Send a photo and rough sizes and we'll give you a free ballpark.

Can you replace just the glass in a shower?

Yes — in most cases. If your tile, pan and waterproofing are fine, we replace only the glass in your existing opening. You only need more than that if the tile/pan is failing or you're changing the shower's footprint.

Why is my shower glass permanently foggy — can it be fixed?

That haze is usually hard-water etching: minerals have pitted the glass surface, and no cleaner recovers it once it's etched. The fix is a new panel — and an easy-clean coating stops it happening again.

How long does shower glass replacement take?

Typically two short visits: we template your finished opening, then return to install once the custom tempered glass is made — often within a couple of weeks of templating.
